How can we find the great compassion and great courage to explore life and death fully?  What can we do to free the heart from fear and dread?

Opening night presents one wisdom traditions's approach to how to think about death, and what happens after death.

Using selected text from a classic work of Buddhist wisdom, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, the concert pairs sacred words with musical meditations to provide insight into the Bardo, or the intermediate state between life and death.

Death is not waiting for us at the end of a long road. Death is always with us, in the marrow of every passing moment. It is the secret teacher hiding in plain sight. It helps us to discover what matters most.

This profound opening night performance can help us to see that we don’t have to wait until the end of our lives to realize the wisdom that death has to offer.
